The first course organised at the Casa do Morgado do Esporão was a success!! 16 students from 12 nationalities came to Évora to learn the theory and practice of ecological niche modelling in R. Thecourse, organised jointly with the Biodiversity and Genetic Resources Research Centre (CIBIO at the University of Évora), had as instructors Miguel Araújo, Portugal, and Babak Naimi, Iran, and the students came from Brasil, Chile, Estonia, Germany, Iraque, Mexico, Nepal, Portugal, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and United States of America.

A 2016 edition of the SDM (Species Distributions Modelling) course is being planned. Stay tuned!
